These were my grandmothers,who was born in 1904. She told me got them in the 1920's. These are not for warmth, they are for fashion. I'm not sure if she even wore these, they have no sign of wear. They are for small to medium hands. Black pr ar like a kind of textured mesh, burgundy pr are like a thin leather on top of hand & like a suede on pals or underside.
